Description
Perennial herb, 5-15 cm long with under ground thick rhizome. The rhizome produces white to yellowish milk especially when wounded. Leaves 5-10 cm ,all basal, long, lanceolate covered by thick soft hairs. Flowers arranged in 2-3 cm in diameter heads, carried on single stalks.

Whole plant: March -May.
Habitat
Desert grounds, especially with clayey soil in places with basaltic pebbles and gravels, particularly in the north eastern desert.
